xp reboot loop

I have an computer with microsoft Xp that reboots several times before it
actually boots up.

I know it has a virus, but I don't know what one and how to clean it.

Any suggestions

I would be more inclined to think that this might be a driver issue
instead of a virus. But, not knowing your situation- you might be right.
How far does it boot? do you see a windows desktop? do any windows
popup? does it count down to reboot?

You might try safe mode.... hit F8 repeadedly right before windows
starts to load.

Once there try to run your virus scanner... if you dont have one, get one
